Job description
[Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various materials, ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are met. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Ensure that all tooling[equipment is in proper working condition to meet production demands, minimize downtime and enhance overall efficiency of the production process. Inspect, repair and maintain tooling such as molds, dies, fixtures and cutting tools. Use plasma cutter, acetylene torch, wire feed, stick and MIG. Conduct PMs on tools and equipment to minimize downtime and extend tool life. Set up, calibrate, and align tooling to ensure consistent production quality. Ensure that tools and die components meet production specifications and tolerances. Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams to ensure that tools are optimized for quality and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repair history and part inventory. Report on the condition of tooling and any tooling-related issues to management. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies and procedures when working with tooling equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to plant safety and housekeeping standards. Other requirements as required by the Tooling, Maintenance and Facilities Manager(s). Qualifications Critical eye towards product quality and measurements. Basic math skills and ability to read prints Experience with hand tools, measuring tape and machinery. Knowledge of various welding techniques - Stick and MIG.
