Description

We are offering a contract for a Systems Administrator position in Waco, Texas. As a crucial member of our Information Technology Department, you will be responsible for supporting existing and new systems, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of various technologies that support our operations. This role includes liaising with different teams and vendors, and may expand to encompass other projects and support as required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the full life cycle of local IT equipment, including PCs, laptops, tablets, shop floor, RF terminals, phones, network and security devices

• Handle incoming tickets to resolve application and system issues, documenting instances of system failure, repair, installation, and removal accurately

• Conduct analysis of logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring system performance

• Coordinate efforts with ERP, Infrastructure, NTT and IT teams

• Oversee the configuration and support of system interfaces

• Support the installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of production and label printers

• Manage software and hardware installations/upgrades

• Provide support for local IT Process, Systems and Engineering projects

• Coordinate vendor warranty and break/fix work

• Lead Business Analysis/Project Management /IT Systems Support

• Provide Mill Systems and Applications support

• Develop and maintain appropriate documentation for processes and systems

• Coordinate effectively between departments to solve problems

• Adhere to change control, security per policy and audit requirements

• Support Production and Process systems.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server is necessary for this role.

• Demonstrated experience with Group Policy is required.

• Familiarity with VMware is an essential skill for the Systems Administrator position.

• Assist in desktop/server/LAN procurement process
