Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Staff Accountant in the industry, located in Waco, Texas, 76712, United States. As a Staff Accountant, your focus will be on processing and applying customer payments, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank transactions, and managing inter-company accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily bank transactions and conduct monthly bank reconciliations

• Manage accounts payable and provide detailed aging analysis

• Execute general ledger postings and perform reconciliations on a monthly and year-end basis

• Apply customer checks, credit card, and wire payments to invoices while maintaining an up-to-date aging analysis of accounts receivable

• Review and process bi-weekly payroll through ADP and record the transactions monthly

• Record and reconcile 401k fees and set up 401k employer match for employees as they become eligible

• Monitor credit card accounts and post the transactions to the general ledger on a monthly basis

• Handle inter-company accounting correspondence and management, including reporting monthly sales and expenses to the corporate office

• Prepare and distribute Monthly Sales Reports for Division Sales and process payments for Quarterly outside sales commissions

• Reconcile weekly Expense Reports for employees following internal procedures

• Assist with the Month-End Close process and the Annual Accounting Audit

• Work on various Ad-Hoc Accounting Projects and Reconciliations as required. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries

• Strong experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Experience with SAP B1 - Business One is preferred

• Proficiency in Monthly Bank Reconciliation and Statement Reconciliations

• Skilled in Bank Account Reconciliation and Credit Card Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation

• Ability to prepare Adjusting Journal Entries and Journal Entry Preparation

• Skilled in Ledger Journal Entries, Month-end Journal Entries, and Monthly Journal Entries

• Experience in Posting Journal Entries and Preparing Journal Entries

• Ability to Record Journal Entries and handle Recurring Journal Entries

• Experience in Reviewing Journal Entries

• Knowledge of Aging Accounts and Aging Reports

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements

• Experience with Annual Audited Financial Statements and Audited Financial Statements

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Audits

• Knowledge of Audit - Financial and Audit - Operational procedures

• Experience in presenting reports to Audit Committee is preferred
