Hiring for a Shop Diesel Mechanic in Texas
$35-$45/hr depending on experience
1st shift - Monday - Friday 7AM-4:30PM
Job Description
This global company serves customers through innovative compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems.
Responsibilities
-Field Service Tech will be provided company vehicle, gas card, uniform, and paid accommodations
Will be required to travel within a 250 mile radius
-Perform diagnostic and repair services on portable air compressors, generators, and dewatering pumps in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
-Perform diagnostics using OEM software for John Deere, Cummins, Isuzu, Perkins, Kubota, Kohler, and CAT. Determine possible causes and perform repairs.
-Test and document proper operating parameters.
-Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
-Provide high level of customer service.
-Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
-Train and assist other service technicians.
-Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
-Troubleshooting Skills
-Understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
Requirements
5+ years experience w/ AC Generators
Experience with emissions, air compressors, and schematics.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Troubleshooting skills.
Understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels, and accounting systems.
Experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, diesel, mechanical troubleshooting, schematics, and diesel engines.
Service and preventive maintenance experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
Journeymen certification not required but equal level of experience preferred.
Experience as a Class 3 Technician Mechanic.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Mechanical inclination.

Work Environment
This is a direct placement position with a competitive hourly wage.
The work schedule is 1st Shift, Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 4:30PM.
The role requires the use of various hand tools and power tools, and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
The environment is supportive, with a focus on teamwork, communication, and professionalism.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93000.00
