Robert Half Payroll Specialist II in Vista, California

Description

Our client in Vista is in need of an experienced Payroll Specialist II. You will oversee the issuing of employee payments while also ensuring the accuracy of payroll tax and benefits deductions and ensuring the timely submission of payroll taxes.

Responsibilities:

  • Process timesheets, leave of absences, terminations, and new hires.

  • Prepare payroll liability reports and collaborate with accounting to ensure correct postings.

  • Respond to payroll discrepancies or errors and resolve timecard exceptions.

  • Work with HR for employee benefits deductions and verify accuracy.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field preferred.

  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Specialist.

  • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong ethical standards.
