OTA is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Video Game Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging and educational video games that support a premier cybersecurity competition designed to inspire and cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop interactive and educational video game content that supports cybersecurity challenges
Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to ensure game content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date
Implement game mechanics, user interfaces, and in-game features that enhance player engagement and learning
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure games are free of technical issues and bugs
Support additional content development efforts as directed
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative features into game development
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field, equivalent work experience may be considered
Proven experience in video game development, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects
Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET or Python
Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and user experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Passion for cybersecurity and education is a plus
Preferred Skills
Experience in developing educational or serious games
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and challenges
Familiarity with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) development
Strong communication and collaboration skills
