Overview
Examine research to identify gaps in learning and deduce implications for our clients and the brand.
Initiate research and business strategic recommendations for future actions that target identified pockets of opportunities
Shepherd and nurture strong collaborative relationships with our multi-disciplinary strategic leads and clients
Drive interpretation and implications of research into presentations
Contribute and participate in new business pitches as needed
Strong aptitude for research consulting with highly developed analytic skills
Ability to think strategically about the clients’ business issues and design research to address the client’s questions
Superior organizational skills, including ability to manage and delegate work effectively, attention to detail, and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
Set the foundation for communications planning by analyzing client needs, conducting research from multiple sources, and deriving valuable insights that inform creative, editorial, and go-to-market tactics
Research segment audiences, devise audience journeys, and build personas that articulate how people respond and behave to different issues
Ensuring we maintain humanity in our work by helping clients see human problems behind their business challenges and set the path for how research and business strategies can help to inform solutions to the challenge(s) and drive brand growth
Communicate insights via compelling business storytelling to drive action and share best practices from learnings to contribute to continuous improvement
Develop strong working partnerships with research vendors at the most senior levels, driving value-added research as well as efficient contracts
Ability to design / develop thought leadership concepts that meet client objectives, oversee research development around those objectives, and ultimately communicate insights in a compelling story from the generated research data
Ability to effectively identify trends and create narrative around ‘what’s next’ for clients and why it matters from the research data
Manage research execution, driving high performance culture and quality of all output
Lead both large-scale and quick-turn projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
Leadership:
Manage junior level members of the Strategic Intelligence team and form integrated relationships.
Effectively balance integration in a wide portfolio of client business
Identify current gaps in research, to identifying pockets of opportunity to strategically incite future actions and projects that will bring significant value to our agency, clients and creative
Developing and mentoring emerging talent
In addition to working on specific brands, this role will also lead in shaping research approaches, insights, and inspiring strategies, as well as furthering thought-leadership both internally and externally
Qualifications
To qualify, you’ll need:
10+ years of experience in strategy, along with research or analyst in data management, data science or analytics.
The ability to provide past case studies, research, pitched business, creative briefs and writing samples that demonstrate creative and insightful thinking.
Demonstrated experience in presenting to and influencing C-level clients and senior management.
Experience/knowledge of research operations (vendor management, data processing, etc.)
Familiarity and experience in research approaches including, but not limited to segmentation, creative testing, user testing, journey mapping, brand positioning
Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, independently, and identify and resolve problems
Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities
Understanding of recruiting, sample development, panel standards
Ability to navigate research & analysis tools with ease & intuition including MRI, GWI, SPSS (or similar), boolean query-based resources, etc.
Proficiency in survey/questionnaire design, analysis, and reporting
Able to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
Interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills, ability to self-direct, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team
Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to construct and support arguments
Superior analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Past experience managing direct reports
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities
Team player with a professional, empathic, and assertive attitude

Compensation Range: $127,585 - $192,060 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
