Vehicle Coordinators are responsible for i nspecting fleet vehicles to identify operational needs, administering vehicle asset management processes from procurement to disposition, and selecting fleet service providers. The Vehicle Coordinator has regular contact with staff and vendors to exchange information and to ensure timely maintenance and repair.
Work Schedule: Full time , Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with occasional extended hours for special projects.
Work Location: This position is located onsite in either our Davenport, IA or Springfield, IL locations
Specialist Responsibilities can include:
Ensure company vehicles are maintained and in a clean, safe working condition.
Coordinate preventive maintenance.
Acquiring estimates following any damage to company vehicles.
Maintain appropriate documentation to ensure all company vehicles are properly registered and insured.
Maintain vehicle safety kits in all company vehicles.
Coordinate transport of vehicles for service.
Assist with scheduling use of fleet vehicles.
Ensure all vehicles comply with applicable DOT and company standards.
Maintain vehicle repair records.
Assist with Vehicle Incident Accident processing and reporting, and insurance claim submission for company vehicle accidents/incidents.
Auditing of pre/post vehicle inspections.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 year’s higher education
Equivalent combination of demonstrated work experience and education may be considered.
1-2 years’ experience with vehicle maintenance.
The ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance.
Constant standing or walking with frequent stooping, reaching, sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Current and valid Driver’s License with the ability to be insured by our carrier.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
Hold a DOT Medical Certification card or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
