Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center TRAINING SPECIALIST in United States

Summary This position is assigned to Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC) . Human Resources Division, Leadership Development section. The Specialists provides program management for all training programs to the FPAC workforce and provides support for customer requests and inquiries regarding training catalogues and delivery, mentoring programs, individual development plans (IDPs), 360 assessments, and coaching programs. Responsibilities Coordinates all aspects of each course iteration, to include course-scheduling, instructor scheduling, end of course feedback, and all course-associated requirements. Evaluates courseware for applicability, adequacy, technical accuracy, and accomplishment of training objectives. Reviews existing training materials to determine its usefulness or the need to develop new materials. Validates instructional materials and methodologies; designs and develops instruments to collect formative evaluation data to determine the effectiveness of instructional material in delivering instruction Works with Instructional Systems Specialist to collect student performance data; post-graduate and post-graduate supervisor data; instructor, subject matter expert, and key personnel observations Development of project plans and completion of milestones within the established timeframe and budget. Conducts planning, executing, and assessing an adult learning design project; ability to design and develop courseware or a curriculum to include necessary documentation of project partner collaboration and outcome decisions. Collaborates with instructional delivery personnel and subject matter experts on the following: Validates instructional materials and methodologies; designs and develops instruments to collect formative evaluation data. Performs a wide variety of training program administration and project management duties on complex training development projects, project oversight and other initiatives necessary to assure effective operations. Specialized experience at the GS-12: Served for one year equivalent to the GS11 grade level in the Federal service, demonstrated practical knowledge in the subject area of the Training Specialist position, as well as the methods and techniques of educational instruction. This includes planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating national training programs; developing training policies and procedures; troubleshooting training program challenges; and designing and developing national courses delivered online and in a classroom. Additionally, possess knowledge of adult learning methods, materials, project management skills, as well as the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate a wide variety of program activities related to adult learning. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the 07/11/2024 of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined above.
