ICONMA, LLC Structural & Payload Design Engineer in United States

We are seeking a talented Structural and Interior Payload Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. You will use 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and other design methods to provide product definitions to various engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs.

  • Integrate analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Manage supplier development, test, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.

  • Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.

  • Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

  • Document system requirements and designs, providing product definitions to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers.

  • Work under general direction with guidance from technical leads and managers.

    Required Skills:

  • Ability to Obtain and Maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

  • Proficiency in 3-D CAD tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in managing supplier development, test, and production activities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to develop new design/analysis processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and future product design concepts.

    Education and Experience:

  • Advanced technical education in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (STEM) (e.g., Bachelor’s degree).

    Candidates must Hold or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance to be considered.
