JEVS Human Services Staff Development Instructor in United States

Currently we have an exciting opportunity with our Work Ready program as a Staff Development Instructor. Work Ready provides a comprehensive set of employment-oriented services to those receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who are in need of specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency.

This role, located in our center city office, offers flexibility and a hybrid environment, including 3 days each week on-site and 2 days remote. This position is full time, 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote clients’ active participation in all classroom activities; provide client constructive feedback for each session.

  • Act as a liaison between instructional team and Work Ready staff in matters relating to Customer service and team building.

  • Provide input into the design of assessment and evaluation tools in the measurement of internal outcomes (i.e., staff morale, job satisfaction & staff retention.

  • Assist with the design, deliver, and manage interactive experiential learning activities in a classroom environment.

  • Teach and facilitate the learning of skills in resume development, online and paper job application, interviewing and job keeping.

  • Prepare creative lesson plans and learning materials for life skills and job search through use of various mixed media approaches.

  • Provide known job leads to participant and assist in application.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree preferred or bachelor’s degree in adult education or related field.

  • 2 years of experience as an instructor in an educational, human service, or other equivalent training

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

The base pay for this position ranges from $42,000 to $50,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
