How You'll Contribute to the Team:
Under direction from the Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics, the Sr Solutions Architect, Data and Analytics is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. The Sr Solutions Architect, Data and Analytics is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing.
While the role is remote, we currently only hire selected candidates from the following states: AL, FL, GA, IN, KS, LA, MA, MI, NC, OK, RI, TN, TX.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Lead implementation and integration of Power BI with Microsoft Fabric, overseeing workspace organization, access controls, and alignment with enterprise systems.
Analyze user requirements and based on findings, craft functional specifications for BI front-end applications, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Develop the semantic models, measures, metrics, KPIs, metadata, reports, and report definitions to enable data-driven decision making and standardized reporting across the organization.
Coordinate end user testing for validation and acceptance of BI solutions.
Assist Data Architect in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions.
Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs.
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users, promoting Power BI and Fabric adoption and self-service analytics.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI and ML capabilities within Power BI and Fabric to enhance reporting, data insights, and prescriptive analytics.
Explore and advise on Data Science opportunities.
Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.
Role Specific Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
10 + years in business solutions delivery, data and analytics, business intelligence, or related field with a focus on Microsoft Technologies
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
Experience developing requirements, documentation, and design.
Deep understanding of data governance practices, including role-based access control, data classification, data lineage, and compliance standards.
Solid grasp of data warehousing and ETL processes; experience collaborating with ETL/data engineers to ensure interoperability and seamless data flow into BI systems.
High proficiency in using technology to drive efficient business outcomes in fast-paced growth organizations
Familiarity with APIs for data integration and automation, especially within Microsoft and other BI platforms.
