As we move towards positioning Indeed as the tech platform for Recruit, the Data Enablement Orchestration team's mission is to provide orchestration tooling that eliminates the complexity of dealing with Indeed’s infrastructure, enabling users to focus on their core tasks. Our team partners and collaborates closely with other teams including the infrastructure teams (ie. compute and security), platform teams (ie. Swift, Amplify, Orc), and internal and external users (Glassdoor, , MaaP (Marketplace as a Platform), and MDP (Marketplace data platform), SCF (Scalable Foundations)) to address customer needs and adhere to Indeed standards. As a Software Engineer II on the Data Enablement Orchestration team at Indeed, you will play a crucial role in simplifying the process of building datasets for various teams across Indeed. You will be responsible for researching, designing, building and maintaining orchestration tools. You will interact with technical leads to create and review designs and also be in communication with other teams to ensure that features address their needs and broader needs. You will be involved in communicating with collaborators, building features, maintaining them and addressing CORGI requirements.

Who you are

  • Demonstrate product ownership - if you build it, you own and support it

  • Plan and develop systematic solutions to problems instead of focusing on one-off fixes

  • Discuss, and make recommendations with collaborators about balancing short-term needs and aligning them with a pathway to long-term target designs

  • Approach solutioning with an intent to increase adoption of the orchestration platform

  • Develop features for our orchestration platform across a variety of micro-services to provide a unified and automated orchestration experience to our users.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including security, infrastructure, and external teams, to address user needs.

Who we are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in backend development

  • Demonstrated experience of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations with multiple major releases

  • Familiarity with backend languages including Java, Python, Go, AWS, Node.js, SQL and Athena AWS.

  • Understanding of microservice frameworks with event-driven architectures, cloud infrastructure services like AWS or Snowflake

  • Passion to learn and develop new skills continuously

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
