Job Summary

Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Senior Payroll Analyst performs payroll administration for the firm, including state and local payroll taxes, in accordance with company policies and procedures and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations for about 2500 employees in multiple states and localities.

  • Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administers payroll processing functions for the firm and its employees

  • Prepares and transmits payroll data to payroll processor

  • Reviews processed payroll before submission

  • Prepares Accounts Payable remittance for dollars deducted from payroll to various agencies

  • Calculates and processes various types of compensation for the Partner's of the Firm

  • Provides various payroll related reporting and GL reconciliation

  • Analyze and respond to any Issues/questions by employees or Partners In a timely manner.

  • Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Payroll reporting

    Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, or equivalent work experience, as appropriate.

  • 4+ years of job-related experience.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience Including using formulas.

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

  • Experience working with Workday

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively.

  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines.

  • Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.

  • Requires strong problem identification/analysis skills.

  • Ability to provide clear, concise, advanced verbal and written communications

    Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate’s unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $55,000 - $75,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.

    Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
