GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position serves as a compliance inspector for the Wyoming Gaming Commission overseeing Parti-Mutuel Wagering, Online Sports Wagering, Skill Based Amusement Games, and the Wyoming Breeders Award Fund Program. The duties include inspecting for compliance to their respective rules, attending live horse racing events to ensure party-mutual rules are followed, inspecting broodmares and stallions in the Wyoming Bred program, assisting Agents with investigations of gambling statutes, and monitoring Sports Wagering Operators for compliance with rules, and assisting with background checks on permit holders.

Assisting with background checks on permit holders.
Ensuring sports wagering operators are in compliance with rules.
Assisting agents with investigations of gambling statutes.
Attending live horse racing events to ensure all Parti-Mutual rules are followed.
Inspecting OTB and Skill Game locations for compliance with their respective rules.
Inspecting broodmares and stallions in the Wyoming Bred program.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to someone with a law enforcement or regulatory compliance background.
**Agency requires that the successful applicant have a valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE:
Interview/ Interrogation skills
Investigation skills
Working knowledge of all Wyoming gaming statutes and Commission rules
Knowledge of computer software and hardware
Experience in writing reports
Knowledge of interpersonal communication
Critical thinking experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Inspection Specialist II
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Inspection) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Inspection Specialist II
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel required, inspections cover 95,000 square miles.
