Vail Resorts Senior Financial Systems Analyst - Finance Process Optimization (FPO) in United States

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will operate within the Finance Process Optimization (FPO) team, which oversees all tools, reporting, data governance, and process management supporting the centralized FP&A organization. The FPO team allows the broader FP&A organization to be more efficient, accurate, and scalable. This role will help the FP&A organization drive results while developing key insights focused on the most critical enterprise-wide trends impacting the business. A primary focus of this role will be to drive improvements to optimize our FP&A efforts, including being a solutions architect and providing thought leadership in designing optimal reporting and planning solutions via the Planful platform.

  • The budgeted range starts at $76,841 - $95,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • This hands-on role will help manage the configuration and maintenance of all corporate financial planning and reporting systems.

  • Support execution of:

  • All planning and reporting processes necessary for the enterprise

  • All financial reporting leveraged to drive insight by the FP&A teams

  • Development and maintenance of Vail Resorts financial planning software (Planful) and development and deployment of Tableau dashboards.

  • Proactively partner with Enterprise and Divisional FP&A teams to develop:

  • Driver-based planning and forecasting models that balance analytics, insight, and efficiency

  • Innovative reporting, analytics, and dashboards that provide actionable insight to operational and finance leaders

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of multi-dimensional database architecture and meticulous attention to detail, combined with a passion for process improvement through continuous learning and experimentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Outstanding academic credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working in finance, accounting, business operations, consulting, or related environments with success in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong understanding of key business concepts and performance metrics (financial and operational).

  • Planful Software experience is a plus.

  • Ability to apply natural curiosity regarding business results and insights while consistently identifying ways to improve management and execution of critical processes.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $95,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays. Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
