Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience designing content solutions for software, web applications and/or mobile native apps

  • 2+ years of experience mentoring content design/UX writing professionals

  • Expertise in UX writing for digital products: microcopy, user education, new features and product launch content – all in the interest of effective and efficient human use

  • Demonstrated ability leading a content design team or similar

  • Demonstrated ability leading content design work in partnership with product management, product designers, researchers, stakeholders and partners

  • Demonstrated ability with recruiting, hiring and retaining design talent

  • Demonstrated ability in creating a competitive advantage through strategic content design

  • Demonstrated ability partnering with UX research on quantitative experiments and qualitative studies to drive content decisions

  • Demonstrated ability in influencing product direction through a deep understanding of user needs and usability

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistency by following, maintaining and evolving content standards

  • Advanced knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process, including how content informs wireframing, prototyping, user testing and high-fidelity visuals

  • Demonstrated ability in best practices, key findings and evidence-based rationalization of content design decisions

  • Experience interpreting and applying voice and tone guidelines for web and mobile applications

  • Knowledge of balancing human behaviors, technology capabilities and business needs to deliver measurable design solutions

Job Summary

As the Content Team Lead, Product Design, you’ll lead a dynamic team of content designers focused on delivering impactful outcomes for our clients and team members through superior content strategy, content design and UX writing. You’ll foster collaboration across product teams, mentor team members in your content career paths and work closely with the Director of Content to drive strategy and lead execution of content initiatives that align with our client needs and overall company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of content designers, ensuring high-quality content creation that meets established standards and supports organizational goals

  • Hire and retain top content design talent through mentorship, advocacy, and performance enablement

  • Communicate and clarify around change

  • Content Career Mentorship:

  • Act as a mentor for team members, guiding them in their professional growth and development within the content design career path

  • Develop individual growth plans in alignment with company goals, team goals, and individual team member career aspirations

  • Collaboration with Product Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with product team leaders, partners, and stakeholders to ensure content design is appropriately engaged at all stages in the product development life cycle

  • Maintain a strategic focus at all interaction levels, ensuring a focus on client value, balanced with current and future business value

  • Oversee and guide team members to prioritize work, remove roadblocks, and optimize collaboration with their delivery teams

  • Support content definition, ideation, creation, and iteration directly as needed to meet organizational goals

  • Strategic Planning with Director of Content:

  • Partner with the Director of Content in developing strategic plans for the content team, focusing on scalability, process improvement, and innovation

  • Ensure that the team's work aligns with the overall business objectives and contributes to the company’s success.

  • Workflow and Delivery Management:

  • Facilitate workflow optimization of content projects, ensuring deadlines are met and results are high quality and innovative

  • Ensure content contribution quality through feedback and productive critique

  • Develop and measure key performance indicators that benchmark and track content performance, measuring from and learning from our solutions

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates Only. The salary range for this position is ninety-seven thousand five hundred dollars to two hundred five thousand five hundred dollars. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
