Role Title: SEA Forecasting and Logistics Specialist

Department: Forecasting and Logistics

Location: Singapore (Hybrid)

Reporting Line: Direct to Financial Controller Singapore, functionally to APAC Forecasting director

Position Summary

The Trek SEA Forecasting and Logistics [x] is responsible for managing and executing the inventory strategy to support sales in Singapore, and in the future, across SEA markets.As a key member of the SEA team, you will work closely with colleagues to manage inventory levels while improving reporting and analytics capabilities. Strong time management, data analysis and communication skills are essential. A solid understanding of bicycles and the bicycle industry, supply chain management and business operations are preferred. Experience in purchasing, forecasting and/or demand planning is also strongly preferred. This role will work primarily with Trek SEA businesses in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities

Forecasting and inventory management

  • Develop and manage accurate sales forecasts for the bicycle business using historical data, market trends and business insights

  • Manage purchase orders and maintain a lean inventory profile, by balancing optimal stock availability with minimizing excess and obsolete inventory, to support the sales strategy

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (product, sales, marketing teams) to incorporate their input into forecasts

  • Utilize forecasting software and tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights

  • Oversee product pricing and monitoring of profit margins

    Logistics

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.

  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of products

  • Review and optimize the performance of the 3PL through logistics KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and SLA (Service Level Agreement) metrics by managing the relationship and driving the performance expected from the SEA 3PL partner

  • Lead and optimize freight solutions for all modes of Transportation (Air, Ocean, Road, and Parcel) and Logistics/Warehousing (DC’s, Cross Docks, and Project/Specialty Warehouses).

  • Manage the warehousing & freight annual budgets, including monthly tracking.

  • Lead the logistics cost budget development and continue monitoring budget versus actual costs of all logistics related costs

  • Operationalize 3PL set up for the region, including playing a key role in the project team during the set up of operational processes, KPIs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) up to go-live phase

  • Ability to create and implement plans, processes and procedures, including process improvements

  • Ability to work independently with a sense of business acumen capable of presenting logical and well- structured proposals

  • Customer first mentality, with a strong drive to personally take care of people

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in forecasting and logistics software/tolls (eg. ERP systems, demand planning software, Microsoft Excel) strongly advantageous

  • International business experience or exposure is a strong plus

  • Flexibility to travel internationally as required
