We are seeking aRecruiting and Integration Managerto join our Lawyer Recruiting team. In this role, you will manage the partner and of counsel attorney hiring and integration for all of the Firm’s offices. In this role, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day recruitment process for partner and of counsel candidates, including initial review of candidate materials, collecting information from lateral candidates, overseeing the interview process, communicating with candidates and search firms regarding candidate status, and facilitating decision-making throughout the entire hiring process to ensure momentum.

  • Work with Director of Lawyer Recruiting and Firm leadership on strategic identification and development of partner and of counsel candidate pipelines and to assess fit and strengths.

  • Meet with partner and of counsel candidates to educate them on the recruiting process and answer questions concerning the process, Dorsey’s compensation, benefits, and policies.

  • Manage pre-employment due diligence process and identify and resolve issues, working closely with the Director of Lawyer Recruiting, Employee Relations Attorney, and Ethics Partner.

  • Oversee the conflict checking process and coordinate the flow of information between the candidate and conflicts team, working with candidates and search firms to resolve issues and obtain additional information as needed.

  • Prepare the compilation of candidate offer materials for review and approval by Management.

  • Meet regularly with select office and/or practice group leadership to review hiring needs and potential candidates; prepare agendas and follow-up reports.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with search agents and candidates and serve as the primary contact for both throughout the recruitment process.

  • Manage all departmental data relating to the recruiting of lateral partner and of counsel candidates, including managing a database of historical and current information.

  • Work closely with Business Professionals in Human Resources and Diversity and Inclusion to strategize and implement diversity recruiting initiatives, including compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan and other initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • At least 3 years of legal recruiting experience, or at least 6 years of professional experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish credibility, build trust, and develop positive working relationships with team members, firm leadership, lawyers, and other professionals.

  • Demonstrated process management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Possess superior judgment and discretion; recognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain such information as highly confidential and the ability to do so in stressful situations.

  • Self-starter and team player.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic and high pressure environment.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines with multiple moving pieces and often very little notice.

  • Ability to manage workload to meet competing demands.

    Preferred:

  • JD degree or Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and related workplace issues.

  • Understanding of the wide-ranging areas of law practiced by a full-service, international law firm.

  • Previous marketing or business professional experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
