Position Title: QA/QC Field Senior Associate
Position Location: Remote with travel between 75-100% in various support roles until extended project assignment is received, this may include travel to any of the 50 US states.

JOB SUMMARY
The QA/QC Field Senior Associate ensures all systems are installed to the project requirements in accordance with the Project Documents, Basis of Design (BOD), the Commissioning Plan of Record and the Quality Control Plan.
This person will collaborate with design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors and client staff to validate newly installed electrical and mechanical systems including those in mission critical facilities. Monitor Daily Construction Activities and provide timely status reports on project scheduling, Change Order management, contractor conformance to Quality Control Plan, and Submittal/RFI responses.
The QA/QC Field Senior Associate will receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. May work independently, consistently exercising discretion and independent judgment on individual work, or may work under immediate supervision.\u202F May serve as lead on routine projects of limited scope.
This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in Performing On-site Inspection, Validation, and Verification of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment (65%)
Monitor daily MEP contractor activities.
Conduct inspections throughout project stages, including offsite fabrication, construction, and punch list phases.
Collaborate with design professionals, clients, trade contractors, and craftsmen to address coordination issues and installation challenges.
Attend and contribute to QA/QC and construction team meetings.
Inspect Owner Furnished Equipment, both offsite and onsite.
Evaluate subcontractors' capabilities in meeting quality requirements. Ensure all trade contractors are following their approved QA/QC Plans.
Ensure all trade contractors are installing work in accordance with project documents, applicable codes, standards, and best work practices.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Confirm site adherence to HSE requirements and that LOTO procedures are properly utilized during project activities.
Assist in Developing Testing Plans and Procedures (15%)
Monitor scheduling of commissioning plans.
Prepare pre-functional checklists.
Capture quality data from systems to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations and create a plan of action.
Assist in Reviewing Construction Related Design Documents, Drawings and Specifications (15%)
Review shop drawings and submittals.
Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
Identify project milestones and adherence to equipment startups.
Assist Project QA/QC Manager to manage a field document control system for construction drawings, specifications, test and inspection reports, vendor data and as-built drawings.
Reporting (5%)
Monitor project progress and report status regularly to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test reports, checklists, and other quality records, assuring that the contract obligations for testing and record keeping are adhered to.
Facilitate root cause analysis for site-level non-conformance reports and drive continuous improvement and best practices.
Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
Prepare reports and generate metrics as necessary to understand and communicate site compliance of quality program.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements as approved.
Ensuring proper turnover of complete quality control, ensure that turnover documentation is maintained, organized and turned over on schedule.
Manage personal hours using company tools.
Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget
Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls system principles.
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management.
Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace.
Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.
Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information).
Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact.
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and / or OSHA training as / if required.
Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS
Travel between 75-100% in various support roles until extended project assignment is received, this may include travel to any of the 50 US states.
Extended project assignment is defined as a project location where a continuous onsite presence is required in excess of 6 months. Project assignments are typically between 9 months and 4 years; however, shorter temporary relocation assignments may be required depending on location and client agreement.
If candidate is not local to a project site - the ability to relocate to the project location within 1 \u2013 3 months of extended project assignment unless the project location supports 100% travel.
Project locations are within the 50 US States.
Temporary or Permanent Relocation assistance is available.
Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline
OR
Two years' experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and / or electrical infrastructure.
PLUS
Minimum three years' additional experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and / or electrical infrastructure .
