Proposal Manager

What does a successful Proposal Manager do at Fiserv?

As a Proposal Manager, you will collaborate and interface with the deal team, including sales, proposal personnel, subject matter experts (SMEs), and executive leadership, to complete different types of RFx (Request for Proposal/Information/Quote) responses. You will be a key contributor, partnering with sales and cross-functional SMEs to expand Fiserv's market share through the execution of solutions-based, value-driven proposal responses. This role requires strong project management, writing, and strategic skills Our proposal management department is a revenue generator with a tremendous success record with existing and new clients.

What you will do:

  • Provide overall management and direction of the proposal process, ensuring all defined timeframes are met.

  • Understand and articulate client’s business requirements and develop the corresponding proposal design.

  • Provide strategy and management for overall RFx response content and messaging based on the client’s objectives.

  • Ensure proposal responses are compliant with the RFx specifications and Fiserv standards and maintaining quality control throughout the process under tight deadlines.

  • Develop RFx-specific messaging and win themes aligned with the overall brand voice and appropriate to the given opportunity and audience.

  • Produce compelling drafts adhering to the client’s pain points and requirements.

  • Ensure the proposed solution aligns with the requirements and highlight the unique client-specific benefits of Fiserv’s offerings.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of work experience, education, and military experience.

  • 5+ years of proposal experience (Government/SLED/Commercial).

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Oral preparations.

  • Experience in document production using Microsoft Office products

  • Advanced experience with Adobe PDF Pro.

What would be great to have:

  • Proficient in Shipley processes and standards and Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification a plus.

  • APMP certified highly preferred

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills, navigating strict deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities

  • Willingness to adjust work schedule to facilitate completion of a proposal

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
