As our Park & Recreation Program Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating and managing exciting special events for our community, ranging from Sweetheart Dance to large-scale Winter Wonderland program.

Essential Functions
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Program Supervisor – Special Events, you will:
Coordinate and manage major County-wide recreation programs with a special focus on special events (i.e., Sweetheart Dance, Halloween Happenings, Summer Sunset, Winter Wonderland, & more).
Oversee event logistics, including facility selection, scheduling, vendor contracts, entertainment, permits, and transportation.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including social media.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and seek sponsorships to enhance event offerings.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
Act as the primary liaison with community members, vendors, and stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
Gather feedback, conduct post-event debriefs, and implement improvements for future events.
Assist in developing section objectives and enforce division policies.
Provide regular updates to the Recreation Superintendent on all program activities.
Core Hours:
Monday – Friday | 8AM-4PM
*Mandatory nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
Typical Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or 3-4 years of event management or related work experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Ability to work indoor and outdoor special events.
