To this end, Mays is partnering with Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) to launch a business accelerator at Texas A&M for seed-stage science and technology-based startups. CDL-Global, in partnership with Mays and the business schools of 12 other leading universities, acts as a convener of talent, bringing together mentors, world-class scientists, and economists to accelerate and enable investment while simultaneously providing an immersive and transformative learning experience for students.

CDL-Texas is seeking a Program Coordinator II, to oversee the day-to-day operations of CDL-Texas in this, it's inaugural year. You'll work collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop and implement operational support as you coordinate with CDL-Global and other partner universities to ensure program alignment and consistency. Opportunities to contribute

  • Program Coordination - Manage the application and selection process for participating companies. Organize and facilitate the 5 intensive full-day sessions with CDL mentors every eight weeks. Assist in establishing short and long term goals and strategic planning of the CDL-Texas program.

  • Mentor and Participant Engagement - Recruit and maintain relationships with mentors, world-class scientists, and economists. Serve as the primary point of contact for participating companies, providing support and guidance. Facilitate mentor-participant interactions and ensure productive engagement.

  • Event Planning and Execution - Plan and execute all CDL-Texas events, including the full-day sessions and additional networking or educational events. Coordinate logistics, including venue, catering, and materials. Ensure all events run smoothly and meet the program’s objectives. Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing activities, and assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets

  • Data Management and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program outcomes. Prepare regular reports for CDL Global and Mays Business School leadership. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Marketing and Outreach - Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract high-quality applicants. Promote CDL-Texas through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and events. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

    Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 4 years of experience in program coordinating, event planning, or a related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • Ability to travel and work outside of standard business hours to include nights and/or weekend.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/management, engineering, science, economics, or closely related.
