Cummins Inc. Pricing Analyst - Senior in Pune, India

DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate pricing data in order management and rebates systems, including account setup and data verification.

  • Track and monitor win/loss data such as requests for quotes.

  • Make pricing recommendations on new product pricing and price changes; implement and review price adjustments.

  • Execute pricing strategy at a new product or market segment level.

  • Lead, manage, or participate in pricing improvement projects; develop outcomes and pricing improvements.

  • Create reports and analysis; present results and conclusions to managers.

  • Provide direct and prompt assistance to customers regarding complex pricing issues through various media (phone, email, fax, letter).

  • Maintain confidential information and manage the use of this information appropriately.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement teams and implement new processes and programs.

  • Coach and mentor less experienced Pricing Analysts.

  • Design pricing process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

  • Work through the IT roadmap to implement analytics platforms.

  • Actively work on pricing analytics and prepare storylines for leadership discussions.

  • Work across cross-functional teams to contribute towards profitability improvements.

  • Lead pricing council forums set up with senior leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Accounting, or a related subject required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in pricing operations, strategy, and analytics.

  • Ability to design and implement pricing process improvements.

  • Experience working with IT roadmaps and analytics platforms.

  • Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and lead pricing council forums.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
