King's Seafood Company People Resources Generalist (HR Generalist) in United States
As we continue to grow and open more restaurants we are adding to our dynamic and collaborative People Resources (HR) team. The People Resources Generalist will be leading (in some cases), participating in, and maintaining HR programs including but not limited to 401k, compliance, safety, workers compensation, benefits and community outreach.

This is an onsite in office position in Costa Mesa, CA.

Essential Job Functions
401(k)
Leads or participates in quarterly committee meetings on the progress of the plan
Leads or supports annual audit of plan
Worker’s Compensation/Safety
Subject Matter Expert for workers compensation cases
Present quarterly results, trends and education pieces to Safety Managers
Present program results to executive leadership on a quarterly basis
Build relationships with clinics and carriers to close cases in timely manner
Oversee the submission of all claim information to appropriate people/agencies
Benefits Overview
Tracks weekly/monthly claims and partners with accounting for financial tracking
Ensures all programs are in compliant with KSC standards. (health, dental, vision, life, 401k)
Directs projects and concerns accordingly while partnering with benefit coordinator
Reports all areas of concern, improvements, and changes to People Resources Business Partner
Serves as escalation point for all Leave of Absence activity. Understands the legal issues, tracking, follow up, and go to person for clarity and questions
Work with the people resources team on admin, tracking, communication with General Managers
Leads open enrollment annually. Set up, execution, and roll out of any new programs during open enrollment for all states
Compliance
Leads all timely compliance with all leaves of absence including FMLA, PFL, PDL, CFRA and internal options
Track and audit eligibility requirements for plan participation (quarterly)
Community Outreach
Leads initiatives for annual community out reach programs. To include financial planning.
Brings ideas to the People Resources Business Partner on additional ways to get the company involved in the community
Organizes, plans, works with marketing, roll out education and executes all community program events.
Strategic Thinking
Continuous education to company on plan design
Brings 1-2 ideas to the People Resource Business Partner quarterly to enhance the current systems, programs, processes to increase efficiency and/or decrease cost
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
Achievement driven
3 + years of generalist experience
3 + years of workers compensation experience
3 + years of Leave of Absence experience
Familiarity with labor laws and regulations
High School graduate, College Degree (preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Continuous learner
High attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Held positions with high level of trust and confidentiality
Bilingual Spanish preferred
