IHG Part Time F&B Attendant - Crowne Plaza Resort Guam in United States

Job Requirement:

  • US Citizens, US Permanent Residents and Residents of Federated Stated of Micronesia - looking for candidates who can work on Guam, USA without any restrictions.

  • Must have Health Certificate and ABC Card

  • Service years - one (1) years of experience in cash-handling role. Hotel experience preferred.

What’s the job?

Food & Beverage Attendants are responsible for handling reservations, greeting customers, taking orders, bringing dishes, cleaning tables, and handling payment transactions.

Your-day-to-day

People

  • Promoting and maintaining a safe and positive workplace.

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through regular communication and coordination with managers, team members, and other departments.

  • Taking initiative in assisting other team members.

  • Check the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specifications. Report to supervisor all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, or any other maintenance and repair needs.

Financial

  • Ensure the proper handling of payments and reconcile sales records at the end of the work shift.

  • Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.

  • Follow the resort control audit standards and handling procedures.

  • Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level and keeping bank secured at all times.

  • Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve any discrepencies, drop off receipts and secure bank.

  • Transport bank safely and securely from/to workstation.

  • Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials.

  • Maintain cleanliness of worksation and well organized at all times

  • Properly follow and complete opening and closing procedures.

  • Advice supervisors on need to purchase and/or requisition for purchase inventory to ensure adequate minimum and maximum stocks of all food, beverage, material, and equipment.

Guest Experience

  • Monitor area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverage, trays, plates, utensils, napkins, condiments, etc. to serve all guests; replenish buffet items and areas as necessary.

  • Welcome guests and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner. Refer any

  • serious matters to management.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work and buffet area, which may include but is not limited to hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerator/freezers, service areas, walls, floors, sneeze guards, and counters. Empty trash receptacles and clear tables as required.

  • Enhance guest experience by responding timely to guest requests.

  • Respond timely and appropriately to guest request and complaints, elevating issues to the supervisor

or manager as needed.

  • Make appropriate service recovery gestures in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Ensure to speak with others using clear and professional language.

Responsible Business

  • May operate dishwashing machine in accordance with manufacturer specifications and instructions and place clean dishes and utensils in assigned storage location.

  • Prepare and/or transport all food and beverage items and associated supplies, equipment, and materials to and from the food & beverage dining areas.

  • Follow preparation methods, times, and quality and presentation standards. Monitor taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, and garnish method as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Report all guest issues and complaints to supervisor or manager.

  • Consult with supervisors to identify and realize optimal service delivery standards.

  • Comply with all Resort policies and procedures.

  • Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner.

  • Clean walls, windows, and floors as necessary.

  • Report any workplace hazards or injuries/illnesses.

What we need from you

  1. Education - High School Diploma is required

  2. Service years - 1 years of experience in cash-handling role. Hotel experience preferred.

  3. Language - Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)

  4. Knowledge and skills

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.

  • Must be able to obtain a government-issued Food Handler’s Certification.

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
