Job Description

This role will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and supporting all technical aspects of the Oracle Fusion Cloud applications. This role would be responsible for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM & HCM quarterly patch deployments, instance management, technical configurations, managing the security roles and workflow, and integrations. This role will provide technical guidance to team members in managing Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and will work with the implementation partner and business teams to help with the implementation, ensuring that project deliverables are aligned with desired business processes and IT standards.

The ITS Department is looking for a candidate with an in-depth understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud, experience in ERP implementations and long-term maintenance of these, and a team player who is reliable, enthusiastic, committed, creative, and customer focused. This role also requires strong collaboration skills to focus on a diverse palette of technical and operational work in a continuously evolving environment.

Essential Duties

  • Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, and HCM quarterly release and other patch deployments, and Instance (Dev, Test, and Prod environments) management.

  • Manage Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP application metadata such as provisioning configurations, enterprise applications, domains, and application components such as environment types, module types, and middleware components.

  • Administer the technical aspects of Oracle Fusion applications including the batch scheduling, OIC configurations, and fast formulas.

  • Manage user security, roles and workflows set within Oracle Fusion Cloud Security. Design & create custom roles to ensure they don't grant too many privileges. Conduct regular security audits to identify and fix vulnerabilities.

  • Work with Oracle to perform System/Service Maintenance Tasks, Back Up and Recovery of Oracle Fusion Applications.

  • Monitor Oracle Fusion Cloud applications performance and architecture to ensure the system reliability, integrity and recoverability.

  • Work with internal staff, third-party vendors and Oracle to update and communicate environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages.

  • Design and implement best practices to administer and improve the functionality, reliability and security of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM & HCM. Partner with internal IT teams such as Security, Network and Service Desk teams, and external vendor teams to proactively monitor, identify issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Document system requirements and process flows.

  • Assist/ mentor technical team members in managing Oracle Fusion Cloud instance configurations and enterprise applications.

  • Implement new system integrations and/or update existing integrations as per changes to the business requirements.

  • Other responsibilities of an Oracle Fusion cloud administrator may include understanding the business processes and application configurations in-depth, understanding role delegation, data encryption and other duties as assigned.

  • This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.

Grade

The grade for this position is 107. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND

  • Seven years of progressive IT experience

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of overall ERP Administration Experience.

  • 3+ years of experience administering Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM & HCM.

  • Experience in at least one implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (eg. ERP).

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is mandatory.

  • Experience in leading full projects involving Requirements, Design, Testing and Roll-out.

  • Comfortable with Oracle Fusion data dictionary and the relationship between various objects, to quickly understand requirements and design solutions.

  • Excellent collaborative and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Desire to teach and mentor other engineers with varying domains of expertise.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Combines strong business acumen/experience in the Finance/ HR/ Payroll areas and deep IT knowledge.

  • Demonstrated initiative to stay current on technology advancements.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
