Job Description

The MST (Military Sexual Trauma) Case Manager II will act as the primary point of contact for MST-related claimants, providing advanced support throughout the exam process. This role is responsible for ensuring that claimants receive comprehensive care and coordination from external service providers, from initiation to final resolution. The Case Manager II will utilize their experience and knowledge to provide superior service and empathetic care to claimants while managing complex cases and ensuring timely service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

· Facilitate all communication between QTC and AIS for MST cases.

· Serve as the main contact for MST-related claimants, assisting them through each step of the exam process with empathy and professionalism.

· Coordinate the delivery of services from external providers, ensuring that claimants receive necessary care in a timely manner.

· Screening of MST cases received from Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) through the QTC Case Specialist to review scheduling information and making initial contact with the Veteran.

· Monitor and manage claimant participation in provider care, ensuring compliance with all protocols and policies throughout the process.

· Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all case activities, ensuring records are complete and up to date for compliance purposes.

· Display empathy, discretion, and care in interactions with claimants, recognizing the sensitivity of MST-related issues.

· Prepare detailed, factual reports, including situational analysis, ensuring clarity and accuracy in documenting case progress.

· Effectively manage daily schedules, coordinating multiple claimants and external service providers, ensuring timely and organized follow-up.

· Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with diverse professionals involved in the claimant's care, including medical and support personnel.

Required Competencies

· A minimum of one year of experience performing social service casework comparable to a Case Manager I, with performance exceeding all standards and demonstrating exceptional knowledge and abilities; OR A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in social work, social welfare, human services, or one of the social or behavioral sciences.

· Ability to establish working relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse range of professional personnel.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately.

· Experience in writing detailed and factual reports, including situational analysis when necessary.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage daily activities and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Accuracy in managing documentation and case records.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate and monitor the delivery of medical services.

· Display empathy, care, and professionalism in all interactions with claimants.

· Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

· Prior experience as a Certified Nurse Aide or Case Manager is a plus

· Prior experience working in communities, healthcare, or social services.

· Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a plus.

· Must be a US Citizen and reside in the United States.
