What you’ll do:
Responsible for ensuring the proper planning, control, and execution of all work that involves an electrical hazard by Aldridge and our subcontractors
Responsible for understanding the complete scope of work involving electrical installations as well as all associated contract documents, specifications, and drawings
Responsible for ensuring all Critical Planning Tools for Aldridge are being executed and controlled properly
Responsible in ensuring that we are meeting customer expectations for electrical safety including, documentation, communication, attending meetings, and all other compliance measures regarding electrical safety
Assist in the work planning to identify and mitigate electrical exposures as well as identify where work that includes electrical exposures will take place in the schedule
Develop hazard-risk assessments that include steps to eliminate the hazard or control the risk
Responsible for ensuring that any work requiring an Energized Electrical Work Permit has been properly completed, submitted, and safely executed
Responsible for the LOTO program on site, including ensuring all the correct LOTO devices are accounted for, documentation control, the execution of establishing an electrically safe working condition, and regularly auditing the program
Ensure that any work that involves electrical hazards would be communicated with all project stakeholders and affected employees
Ensure that all employees that are working around electrical hazards have been properly trained and assessed for competency
Responsible for maintaining the PPE, grounds, and insulated goods program for that site/group
Responsible for verifying that the correct testing equipment is being used
Responsible for reporting any incidents involving electrical hazards
Required to be on site and present for all work that involves an electrical hazard
Who you are:
Experience in the type of electrical construction
5 years industry experience
NFPA 70E certification
Able to understand the safe installation of electrical equipment and various nominal voltages, equipment types, and AC/DC systems
Understand how to read single line diagrams and create single line diagrams based on field conditions
Ability to travel as this is a traveling position
