Our Autonomous Vehicle client is looking for Mechanical Engineer in Foster City, CA who is responsible for unblocking the intricacies of Autonomous Mobility Description: Our team is a technical hub to resolve challenging engineering and design problems in a highly cross-functional environment. Within the Prototyping Engineering team, you will be called to develop and design new ideas in a fast prototyping scenario. Responsibilities: You will design, in CATIA V6, prototype hardware and electromechanical systems You will generate 2D drawing packages for fabrication and assembly You will evaluate the dynamic, static, structural and thermal-mechanical performances of mechanical assemblies You will optimize the design and build of our Prototype Development Fleet You will collaborate with experts in AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision and Robotics from all teams throughout Client Qualifications Strong basis of Mechanical Engineering and Physics Experience with 2D drawing packages, including GD&T Design with CAD tools, such as CATIA V6 Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering At least 6 years relevant experience Bonus Qualifications Integrating electromechanical systems FEM Simulation Cinematic and Dynamic Simulation Software SOLIDWORKS, SimWise4D, or similar MATLAB, Simulink Prototyping experience Motorsport environment As an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA provides an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or express, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability status, political affiliation, genetics, marital status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws
