Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Materials Production Planner for their Hayward, CA location. Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Operations Logistics Planning team at Client drives the execution of all material procurement and build activities that support both the end-to-end manufacture and the maintenance of the Robotaxi fleet. We work cross-functionally and collaboratively with our internal partners to ensure everyone has what they need, when they need it.
The Primary role of the Materials Production Planner is to create, execute and monitor the attainment of all detailed Build Plans that support overall Client business goals. They will be responsible for maintaining version control, updating the PP master data that configures the SAP MRP system-logic, as well as maintaining accurate schedules and priorities to keep the whole MFG Ops team aligned and on-time. As a critical spoke in the wheel here at Client, this position will provide ample opportunity to learn new things, to meet great people and to grow along with the business.
Create, maintain and close production orders in our SAP S4 Hana ERP system, including maintaining accurate due dates, setting the desired BOM/routing versions and updating customer requests.
Design, execute and monitor attainment to the Vehicle Build Plan.
Create and release Work Orders needed to support the Manufacturing line and non-vehicle demand.
Communicate with internal customers about the status of all open demand.
Coordinate with the Supply Planning teams to identify and mitigate potential shortages and prevent line stoppages.
Troubleshoot work orders in the MES system and correct any material transaction and/or confirmation issues.
Help drive Continuous Process Improvement.
Aid in scheduling Warehouse Equipment maintenance planning
Requirements:
Direct Production Planning or Master Scheduling experience in a fast-paced NPI environment.
Ability to pull data and format reports and/or tables to drive analysis and execution.
Knowledge of inventory management practices and analysis.
Experience working with ERP/MRP software applications (SAP S4, Oracle, etc.).
Associate or B.S. degree in a related field (Business, Engineering, Finance, etc.)
APICS Certification
SAP S4 Hana Experience
Master’s Degree in a related field
