Summary As a Lead Information Technology Specialist with NASA's Agency Business Solutions, Stakeholder Engagement group, the Business Process Re-engineering Lead plays a critical role in NASA's agency-wide SAP update to SAP S/4 High-performance Analytic Appliance (S/4HANA) and future transformations. Oversee and drive the redesign a variety NASA financial management processes; requiring a mix of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive transformation and optimize operations. Responsibilities Oversee the assessment, design, and optimization of business processes to ensure alignment with the capabilities of the new ERP system, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall success of the transformation initiative. Lead Business Process Analysis and Mapping; overseeing the use of various modeling techniques (e.g., use cases, workflows) to ensure processes are re-engineered, standardized, and optimized in accordance with Program objectives. Collaborate and engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, Strategic Infrastructure, Mission Directorates, Information Technology, and operations, to ensure processes integrate across NASA. Lead and/or conduct feasibility and cost-benefit analyses to aid decision-making for executive management. Identify potential risks in the redesign process, such as disruption to ongoing operations or resistance to change and developing strategies to mitigate them. Continuous Improvement. Establish baseline metrics / key performance indicators to document current state performance; once re-engineered monitor process changes; analyze performance post-update to identify areas for further optimization. Personnel Management. Provide Lead-level oversight for personnel assigned to the Business Process Re-engineering group. Provides direct input into periodic performance reviews of ABS BPR personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Leading major business process re-engineering efforts in one or more of the following areas: finance, procurement, strategic infrastructure, mission directorates, and/or information technology; Applying concepts of strategic planning and key performance indicator development with data analytics and visualization in order to connect strategy with execution and achieve intended results; Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs/projects and communicate recommended improvements to leadership.
