Maintenance Technician Location: Athens, TN Duration: 5-6 months Description: Responsibilities: Performs preventative maintenance program. Performs maintenance work on plant equipment as assigned. Assists maintenance with installing equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations Possess other general maintenance skills. Maintain work areas to housekeeping standards. Requirements: Possess a working knowledge and ability to proficiently demonstrate that knowledge and skill in the following areas: Obtain a fork lift and scissor lift license. Equipment meets safety standards. Minimum maintenance work experience 3 years post apprenticeship. Experienced with electrical maintenance including low voltage control wiring, 3 phase wiring and troubleshooting 480v, AC & DC motors and Drives. Capable of installing professional looking conduit runs to code. Experience with plant 480v power distribution systems including busway, disconnects, Bus plugs, and power transformers. Hydraulic system function, maintenance and troubleshooting to include valves, accumulators, cylinders and pressure switches. Pneumatic system function, maintenance and troubleshooting, to include: valves, accumulators, cylinders and pressure switches. Experience with mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting. Performs other assignments as required by Maintenance Supervision. Must maintain accurate maintenance records Preferred PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience. Journeyman status achieved through an apprenticeship program. Experience with progressive and transfer stamping presses and coil feed equipment. OSHA training in power press safety Education requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred.
