Title: IT Software QA Specialist Sr

Location: Remote (Memphis, TN Preferred)

Duration: 12 Month’s (Contract to Hire)

Pay Range $40.00 to $50.00/hr.

We are looking for a “IT Software QA Specialist Sr” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and debugging software tests to meet defined requirements. This role involves formulating and defining moderately complex system scope and objectives, preparing detailed specifications for testing applications, and designing, implementing, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining test scripts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Application Familiarity: Gain familiarity with various aspects of the application, including reports, parameters, claims management, intake services, carrier/client interfaces, and vendor/business partner interfaces.

  • User Needs Analysis: Analyze user needs as required and assist in designing tests to ensure that end-user requirements are met.

  • Test Script Development: Develop and modify software test scripts and test plans to verify that systems meet specifications outlined in data processing requests. Ensure compliance with requirements from insurance carriers and regulatory groups.

  • Project Testing: Test and verify assigned projects while assisting in testing projects for programming staff members.

  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare documentation on new or existing software to support quality assurance processes.

  • Issue Investigation: Investigate call escalations from support staff and make necessary corrections to data and/or software tests.

  • Mentorship: Assist in the professional growth of other quality assurance analysts.

  • Standards Compliance: Follow pre-established standards and guidelines related to the design and development of tests and test plans.

  • Continuous Learning: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current quality assurance tools and technological advancements.

  • Customer Service: Deliver and maintain the highest quality of customer service to clients.

Qualifications

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

  • Major in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.

Experience

  • Six (6) years of experience in information technology/computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Must include three (3) years of testing and/or business analytical experience.

  • Strongly preferred experience in interpreting user requirements and developing business application tests.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of software testing and test design methodologies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster teamwork.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
