Primary Function

The purpose of this position is to understand, locate, design and test the Heat Pump process for proper operation. Also, it is responsible for the development and elaboration of execution and testing of programs to meet the engineering design criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee equipment adjustments, training, and development of key plant personnel to ensure proper operation and knowledge are understood and maintained.

  • Propose better operating alternatives.

  • Evaluate results and lead strategies to meet defined objectives and expectations.

  • Actively participate and contribute together with process engineers and welding engineer in silver welding processes and in the lock ring process.

  • Solve all problems and situations of subassembly and final assembly in the heat pump lines.

  • Discuss the entire HVAC process and all the parties involved in making the heat pump water heater.

  • Evaluate machinery, equipment, software and programs associated with the heat pump water heater.

  • Troubleshoot all issues and problems in heat pump subassembly and final assembly lines.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Bilingual Spanish/English - ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Fully capable in the use of computer aided designs such as AutoCad.

  • Study of HVAC theory and its application.

  • Advanced mathematics, physics, HVAC system analysis and design (desirable).

  • Required thermodynamics, refrigeration and HVAC controls.

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Also, in manufacturing but not limited to product design and testing and design by manufacturing (DFM).

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
