Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reporting : Director of Human Resources
Mission of the position : To align Human Resources strategies with Operations Department goals in order to drive organizational performance and foster a productive and engaged workforce. This involves collaborating closely with leadership and departments to understand business needs, develop talent, enhance employee experience, drive change where needed and ensure compliance. Part of supporting the Operations department includes completing regulatory compliance reporting as well as employee leave programs. The right candidate for this role is a strategic thinker, has high emotional intelligence, effective change management skills and is trustworthy with high ethical standards.

This is an in-person position based in Farmington, CT. Compensation package includes base salary, bonus, and 401k match. This is once in a lifetime opportunity to drive positive change and work in a dynamic, bureaucracy-free environment .
Key Responsibilities:
Become a trusted business advisor to key stakeholders by providing proactive HR guidance and insights that align with business objectives.
Employee Relations: Proactively consult with management to ensure superior employee engagement and to constructively address performance management concerns.
Talent Acquisition: Work with internal TA team to recruit, hire and onboard game changing talent, in partnership with hiring managers.
Talent Development: Establish professional development programs to improve critical skills, maximize job satisfaction and expedite skill building to meet current and future business needs.
Compensation: Complete analysis and make recommendations on competitive pay practices, including annual and off-cycle increases.
Compliance: Ensure legal compliance with all benefits, FMLA, Workers Compensation and mandated training.
Major Challenges:
Managing a high-volume workforce in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment
Handling employee relations issues effectively while maintaining positive morale.
Adapting HR practices to a dynamic manufacturing setting with multiple shifts.
Expected Performance Outcomes:
Improve management capability in recruiting talent for current and future needs.
Timely and fair resolution of employee relations issues, reducing disputes and grievances.
Increased efficiency in HR processes, reducing administrative burdens and improving HR service delivery.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5-8 years of HR experience, preferable in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience in recruitment, performance management and employee engagement
Skills:
Exceptional critical thinking, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
