Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) in United States

Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) with the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS. This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will apply basic Human Resources (HR) regulations, rules and procedures to perform a wide variety of functions in support of recruitment and placement operations. You will run standard queries or prepare simple queries to retrieve required information from databases. You will perform limited technical assignments in supporting Human Resources Specialists within the Staffing Division. You will prepare basic reports by extracting data and creating spreadsheets. You will input and manipulate data, within the automated Human Resources System to ensure the accurate processing of personnel actions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with performing human resources clerical functions. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed 4 years above high school, or Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
