U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Financial Management Analyst in United States

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Resource Management. This position is being filled as a Financial Management Analyst, DJ-0501-2. Responsibilities Provides advice and interpretation of time and leave regulations, circulars, memorandums, policies and procedures. Receives payroll documents for direct input into Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) and/or Corps of Engineer Financial Management System (CEFMS) for W-4s, direct deposit, allotments, address changes, leave and earning statements, leave requests. Works in many different automated systems, including DCPS, CEFMS and Remedy for Payroll. Enters any payroll problems into Remedy and responds within required time. Retrieves reports for retro time and attendance invalid/invalid, retro conversion of hours, new hire, missing time, conversion of hours and donated leave. Ensures CEFMS II updates and enhancements are communicated to the timekeepers via prepared documents and live training via webinar or in person. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the DJ-1 (GS-04) grade level, which includes: Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Planning and organizing work; and Communicating effectively orally and in writing. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-1 (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. This announcement MAY be used to fill like vacancies six months from the closing date. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
