Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will perform formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates; review and evaluate budget requests; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administration operations. You will implement legal and regulatory control over approved budgets and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods in developing funding and budget plan to support and accomplish the financial management mission of the organization. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
