Who we are
Texas A&M University’s emergency management team is responsible for writing emergency plans, providing training for first responders, designing and facilitating emergency exercises, education outreach, supporting special events, and responding to large-scale emergencies on campus and at off-campus instructional sites across the state. Qualifications -
Emergency Management Specialist II - ($61,000 - $71,000)
Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, business administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of experience in emergency management or emergency response related field.
Experience in higher education emergency management.
Must have complete FEMA courses. NIMS 700, 800, 100, 200, 300, 400.
Completed FEMA instructor training courses.
Emergency Management Specialist I - ($51,000 - $61,000)
Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration, business administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of experience in emergency management or emergency response related field
Excellent communicator, presenter, trainer.
Must be able to complete FEMA courses within 1 year of employment: NIMS 700, 800, 100, 200, 300, 400.
