Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality

• Mentors and trains Process Operators

• Coordinates team activities, sets daily expectations for safety, quality and scheduling.

• Drives continuous improvement and conducts housekeeping/5S audits.

• Issue LOTO, Hot work and confined space permits

*Perform duties of floor supervisor when supervisor is away from plant

*Must be able to understand all facets of Process Operator duties within each of their own specific area

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Requirements

• Minimum five years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of chemicals used in specific processes

• Must be licensed forklift driver or able to obtain forklift certification at time of hire

• Must understand process flow of carbon/reactivation process

• Must be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training as well as additional site-specific safety and operator training

• Able to maintain, troubleshoot and repair process machinery

• Understanding of operating permits for environmental compliance

• Ability to lead a work team, and to communicate clearly to team members and management.

*Familiarity with MS Office suite of products

Preferred: • Some manufacturing/plant experience preferred • Experience with implementing 5s and lean manufacturing principles

Salary range:

$52,000.00 - $83,000.00
