The Sales director guides the development of long- and near-term sales plans/programs following overall Sales programs and goals. You will report to the VP of Sales plus collaborates with sales leadership, HR, and other partners to ensure understanding of our goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The Opportunity ... Sales Strategies Establish and implement sales' strategy and goals that support overall business plan Understand industry/segment trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics. Establish account management processes Manage targeted revenues and margin goals for designated area and ensure Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects with leadership team on opportunity and challenges Attend trade shows and other sales and marketing events and promote further sales of our products and services. Improve Sales Pipelines Set clear expectations around use of sales process to include: Vicre model, 6-point plans and Salesforce CRM Establish important pipeline metrics to ensure pipeline at all stages Work with team to strengthen behaviors and use the processes Financial Responsibilities Manage annual budgets and provide corrective actions to alleviate risks Promote pricing increases and cost control to improve margin performance Assure that all new sales contracts are profitable or benefit JBT. Develop Customer Relationships Maintain existing and build new customer relationships by preparing and making sales presentations focusing on value to customer Develop broad multi-function relationships between JBT and the Customer organizations Establish detailed account plans that identify and address customer requirements Insure rapid, accurate and professional responses to customer requests, including quotations, contracts and proposals. Provide Leadership and team development Lead and establish challenging goals and develop and assess competencies of direct reports to assure development in a balanced, motivating, safe, and healthy work atmosphere. Manage HR related activities for direct reports: salaries, bonus, individual goals and development plans. Determine training goals, prepare succession plans. Develop a sales territory, attracting and driving new business following a strategic territory plan.
