The Latin America & the Caribbean Marketing & Communications team is meant to be a partner to the business segments when it comes to brand reputation, content development and relationship with strategic stakeholders. We offer support, expertise and partnership, from managing blogs and social media presence to participation in industry events, brokers’ incentive campaigns, employee engagement and other initiatives. Our internal clients rely on us, as AIG narrative ambassadors, to invigorate business opportunities and position the AIG brand, our products and our executives as though leaders in the minds of our brokers, clients, and business partners.

The primary purpose of the AIG Mexico’s Digital Communications & Social Media Specialist is working closely with the regional head of Digital & Social Media and the local Marketing & Communications manager to identify business priorities and opportunities, showcasing the AIG differentiators, products, institutional initiatives and others across the country’s social media channels in accordance with global and regional guidelines.

How you will create an impact

The candidate will orchestrate all Digital Marketing & Social Media strategies for Mexico, contribute to deploy and align regional activities in local markets. The position will be the owner and responsible for the Mexican social media channels, digital initiatives such as inbound marketing and website managing, monitoring, KPI’s definition, reports, and strategy. He or she will work closely with AIG’s regional and local leaders to position AIG as thought leader in the various lines of business we operate and institutional matters, including – but not only – underwriting excellence, claims expertise, diversity and inclusion, corporate citizenship, organizational culture, customer experience and others. The candidate is expected to support and advise all other leaders and functions with adequate, aligned, consistent and cohesive online communications. His or her main internal clients will be the local GM, the local executive committee, and the regional leaders with special attention, but not only, to Distribution, Claims, Underwriting and HR. The candidate will work under global and regional strategic drivers and will deliver local social media consultancy that meets local, regional, and global business demands. The candidate will be a peer of the Direct Marketing team and build joint corporate social media communication strategies where the M&C team supports DM activities and objectives, these last ones focused on lead generation and sales conversion.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience

  • Candidates from Digital Agencies or internal departments of Digital Communications are encouraged to apply;

  • Minimum of 3 years in corporate social media channels handling, aimed to promote corporate reputation and target-audiences’ engagement;

  • Experience in managing social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and others);

  • Experience with Online Advertising (Google Display Network, Google Search, Native Ads – Taboola, Outbrain, Verizon, Programmatic);

  • Elementary knowledge about websites and blogs (SEO/SEM, Landing pages, Adobe Experience Manager/HTML);

  • Experience with B2B or B2B2C Marketing models;

  • Managing external vendors and digital agencies.

  • Skills

  • Excellent Spanish writing/content development;

  • Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking);

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;

  • Creativity. Open mindset for alternative and innovative digital marketing strategies;

  • Critical thinking and anticipate issues;

  • Proactivity and organization of self-demands and agencies;

  • Collaborations, influence, and negotiation skills;

  • Ownership and execution of initiatives;

  • Curiosity to find new trends and new digital knowledges;

  • Supportive to our internal clients, sharing best practices according to the company and values.

  • Additional abilities

  • Experience in handling social insurance or finance market social media;

  • Past experiences with Oracle Eloqua, Adobe Experience Manager, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Meta for Business.
