Job Title: Data Migration Analyst
About Us
Publicis Groupe is one of the "Big Four" agency companies, alongside WPP, Interpublic and Omnicom. It has
operations in over 200 cities in 100+ countries and around 100,000 employees. Re:Sources is Publicis’ support
organisation to centralise the finance, administrative, legal, tax, IT, procurement and property functions and
leave the units, e.g. agencies, to do what they do best in terms of looking after the client's business.
Our team, rOar, resides in various countries. Our clients are the agencies within the Publicis Groupe. Our product,
rOar, is Publicis Groupe’s Project Management, Resource Management and Time Tracking tool. It is used by
agencies that are on ‘Altair’, (Publicis Groupe’s SAP implementation) and as such is integrated within the Groupe’s
Altair ecosystem.
rOar v2.0 is being built upon Adobe’s Workfront, a leading enterprise PPM solution. The rOar team is responsible
for configuring Workfront, building custom Saas solutions around it and integrating our solution with other
systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- E2E Migration Planning: Develop and ensure comprehensive object-level migration plans that cover all
phases from data extraction to load validation.
Migration Strategy: Define the project scope, establish timelines, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of data from source and target systems; create detailed mapping
documents.
- Coordination: Collaborate with applications and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on data migration
requirements and processes.
ETL Design: Design and implement efficient ETL processes to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
Data Quality Assurance: Set and uphold data quality standards; perform validations to ensure data accuracy.
Progress Tracking: Maintain oversight and accountability for the progress of all migration steps throughout
the ecosystem.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all migration processes, including comprehensive migration
results.
Defect Resolution Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on defect resolutions to ensure timely fixes.
Change Management: Manage changes to project scope and evaluate their impact on the migration process.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess migration processes and stay informed about industry best
practices.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in data migration and cutover processes, preferably in complex systems environments.
Strong understanding of data governance practices and quality standards.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Cosmos DB).
Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
Experience in web applications and user interfaces, including Web APIs and JSON services.
Good to have experience in Workfront objects and Workfront Fusion and APIs.
Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
Experience in JIRA and Agile (Scrum & Kanban) practices.
Familiarity with Qtest or similar defect tracking tools is a plus
Qualifications
Must Be an IT Graduate.
