ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Solutions Architect (Python) to support ongoing efforts in managing a complex network of interconnected components that ensure the security and functionality of digital environments at a large Federal agency. This initiative aims to enhance capabilities and integrate operational services across Zero Trust (ZT) pillars and systems, accelerating ZT maturity beyond its current rate. The goal is to achieve and maintain the White House, OMB, and DHS ZT maturity targets over the next two years.

The ideal candidate will have previous Federal agency cybersecurity solutions architect experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, continuous delivery CI/CD methodologies, agile development, visibility and tracking metrics, Security Operations, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and solutions in a Zero Trust environment, and knowledge of and experience with Zero Trust federal requirements and the DHS CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship Required with current, active Public Trust or EOD; higher level clearances acceptable.

  • Excellent Python programming skills.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cyber Security

  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other technical disciplines preferred.

  • Knowledge of software architecture

  • Knowledge of cloud computing, software development pipelines, and system integrations

  • Cloud experience – AWS and Azure

  • Extensive familiarity with orchestration and automation tools and development

  • Strong DevOps/DevSecOps experience

  • Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity principles

  • Strong knowledge of data standards and modeling

  • Experience with Git, Subversion, or Mercurial

  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket

  • Experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, or Harness

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, integration, and testing of security applications that integrate agency data, continuous intelligence sources, and external and third-party integrations, to include Application Programming Interface API interfaces, as well as performing orchestration and automations and integration with external orchestration and automation infrastructure and tooling.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines in an agile environment to architect solutions following established CI/CD standards.

  • Support the onboarding of development teams to this pipeline.

  • Analyze customer requirements and provide innovative technical expertise on cybersecurity intelligence and analysis.

  • Experience with data integration and analytics to support cybersecurity.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with incident reporting, threat detection, risk management, derived intelligence/AI, dashboards, and reporting.

  • Cybersecurity application integration and support.

  • Demonstrate experience supporting the NIST Risk Management Framework and CISA’s Zero Trust Maturing Model.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging and advanced technologies.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
