Red Hat Customer Success Architect in Tokyo, Japan

Red Hat’s Technical Sales team seeks a highly energized and self-motivated technical expert to reduce the time to value and optimize customer outcomes, enabling customer adoption of Red Hat products and technologies. Leveraging an engagement-based delivery model, you will work with customers adopting Red Hat Ansible. You will assist customers with integrating Red Hat products in their enterprise IT environments, supporting the migration of application workloads, and collaborating across functions to identify and overcome technical and organizational blockers to adoption.

What you will do:

  • Executes and documents technical engagements, as defined by the Customer Success Plan initiatives, that advance the adoption and growth in consumption of Red Hat products.

  • Conducts reviews of the customer's environment and applications to ensure they are well-architected following Red Hat product best practices.

  • Identifies and aggregates technical adoption blockers discovered across multiple customers and their solutions into common patterns and sales play resources.

  • Be the Voice of the Customer. Share insights and best practices and connect with product leaders to remove technical barriers to adoption.

  • Be curious and proactive, staying abreast of Red Hat’s ecosystem and technology changes.

What you will bring:

  • Experience with and intimate knowledge of DevOps/Automation tools such as Ansible, CI Tools, Git, Python (or other similar/relevant experience)

  • Significant technical experience in at least one major IT domain, such as

  • Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions

  • Linux-based workloads

  • Continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline

  • Network technologies like Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint

  • Kubernetes and container-based deployments

  • Public cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud

  • Windows-based environment management

  • InfoSec / Security Operations

  • IT Service Management / Operations

  • Ability to understand people and process related to automation use cases in order to translate these into automation scripts, effort estimation and integration requirements

  • Proven & strong system administration and troubleshooting experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, other Linux platforms, or Unix in a production environment

  • Ability to lead and deliver consultative type customer-facing engagements

  • Extensive experience working in enterprise software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) from a development, engineering, support or Quality Assurance (QA) perspective

  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information to customers both clearly and concisely

  • Demonstrable presentation and facilitation skills

  • Experience in defining and gathering goals, requirements, and defining outcomes, which can be used to drive work done and outcomes with customers

  • Willingness to travel within the region, visit customers and partners, attend conferences and other events

One or more of the following is a plus

  • Experience in scripting and coding (especially Python).

  • Experience with Kubernetes and containers-based platforms such as OpenShift.

  • Any Red Hat certification.
