Counseling Director - F/T, Riverhead location with travel to Hauppauge and East Hampton offices as needed. Hybrid remote schedule.
Responsibilities Include:
● Supervision of counseling staff, including setting and monitoring productivity standards.● Providing counseling to victims and survivors of domestic violence.● Providing individual and team clinical supervision on a weekly basis.● Ensuring that all clinical licenses for the department are kept current, including professional development and continuing education requirements.● Oversees NYSED waiver for The Retreat, updating with NYS as required indicating the professions that are approved to provide psychotherapy, as well as any changes in site locations, administrative staff, or BOD members.● Assists with conducting community and professional awareness outreach presentations, educational workshops, and seminars.● Oversight of all CPS reports made through the Counseling Department, including verification of reports submitted to the county and appropriate services entered into AVS.● Assist in the development of new projects, grant proposals, and funding as needed.● Respond to counseling team, hotline responders, and other agency staff to provide support with immediate client-related issues.● Serve as 2nd administrator in AVS client database system for the organization.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure: Master's in Social Work: Licensed as LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in New York State required (LCSW-R preferred).
Experience: 5 + years of post-MSW graduate clinical experience as well as 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Professional Skills: Must have experience in program management and have the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
SIFI certified or willing to commence the process of obtaining SIFI certification upon hire.
Flexibility to meet staff and client needs; may require some evening hours.
Must have New York State Driver's License (required) and reliable transportation
Fingerprint clearance required.
