Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and direct the work of Contracted Network Compliance Coordinators
Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
Solves complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
Promotes positive work environment within the department and across the organization
Acts as SME for in-person and virtual audits
Ensures that in-person and virtual audits are conducted on regular cadence to ensure compliance and contractual requirements
Review, understand, and communicate changes in OSHA and ADA regulations and standards to ensure that auditing practices remain up-to-date and relevant
Support any corrective action plans in response to external and internal audits both in-person and virtual
Engage in complex remediation strategy and resolution and promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
Lead investigations of incidents or complaints related to OSHA or ADA violations, providing input and recommendations for remediation
Work closely with PNM team for collaboration and resolution of non-compliant providers
Collaborate with the EOHS team to ensure alignment in processes for reviewing audits to ensure compliance at contracted network provider locations
Perform thorough in-person and virtual audits of facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA and ADA regulations
Oversee the coordination of travel plans with all departments and providers
Perform and support pre-contract site visit for contracted network sites
Prepare detailed reports documenting audit findings, compliance status, and recommendations for improvements or corrective measures
Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure ongoing adherence to OSHA and ADA regulations
Lead the Contracted Network Compliance Committee

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree (or higher) OR 3+ years working in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, a government, legal, healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance environment
Current OSHA 30 General Industry training or OSHA 511 General Industry training or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
3+ years’ experience working in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, a government, legal, healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance environment
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Ability to travel as needed up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within disability exam clinic environment
Ability to influence and negotiate through use of verbal, written and interpersonal means with a diverse group of people/disciplines at all levels of an organization
Experience with Environmental Health and Safety auditing
Military experience
Experience working with military Veterans
Soft Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of assertiveness in performing work responsibilities and in making work related decisions

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $88,000 to $173,200 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
