Charge Registered Nurse II (12 hr.)

Base Rate: $47.93 - $67.11

12 hr. shifts- overtime is paid after 8 hours, resulting in an average rate of $55.92 - $78.30

Sign-on/Retention Bonus: $10,000 /Full Time Only

Job Summary: The Charge RN with clinical and management expertise is responsible for leading and overseeing nursing care on an assigned unit. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Supports staff development and performance improvement initiatives and assists with organizational compliance and quality assurance efforts. Serves as a role model, actively and consistently contributing to department operations and communications, behaving in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.

Experience:

  • At least two (2) years recent experience in the clinical setting applying for

  • Adaptable to changing work schedules and patient needs.

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.

  • A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current RN license issued and/or recognized by the state Board of Nursing for the State of employment.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), required.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), required.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from American Heart Association or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification is required within 6 months of hire.

  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), preferred.
