Job Description

The Capture Manager develops capture strategy, internal and external partnerships, and business plans for opportunities. They must be familiar with planning and executing all phases of the opportunity lifecycle, to include supporting the proposal process. The position will develop customer and business relationships that they can leverage, personal experience in assessing potential business opportunities, experience in establishing partnerships and will have the ability qualify several opportunities concurrently. The Capture Manager directly supports the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Chief Growth Officer to win new business. The Capture Manager will be expected to identify capability gaps, emerging requirements, conduct business intelligence, monitor competitor activity, and develop solutions to satisfy DoD and Federal customer requirements. The Position is remote, with the requirement to attend meetings or conduct briefings or other interactions at our partners, customers and TRAX Office locations

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities* Serve as Capture Manager for opportunities, from early capture phase to award.* Support strategy development, identification of potential opportunities, and analyze potential opportunities for viability.* Serve as Capture Manager for opportunities, from identification of opportunities, capture phase to award.* Develop, implement, and execute opportunity specific capture plans and strategies.* Support overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities which support the business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline.* Be familiar with industry standard CRM tools (Salesforce) and all phases of an opportunity lifecycle (Identification through Submit).* Expertise and experience in briefing (Opportunity status, Gate / Step Reviews, presenting at Industry Days, etc.).* Strong expertise in performing market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.* Have established industry and industry relationships – and ability to develop strategic business relationships (Customer and Partners).* Develop accurate and realistic business (bookings) forecast.* Develop and maintain positive customer relations.* Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.* Participate as required in the TRAX business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, planning sessions, and proposal reviews.* Brief business development status to senior management when material changes occur and as required by the TRAX business development process.* Ability and willingness to travel 40% per month or as needed.* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications* Four-year college degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.* Military Experience is a plus. * Understanding of Project Management principles.* Candidate must have 5+ years of capture experience.* Experience in capture in support of DoD and Federal Agency programs. * Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.* Self-motivated and highly driven leader with a sense of urgency to stay in front of strategic opportunities.* An understanding of teaming and subcontracting.* Attention to detail, oriented. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Experience in writing and supporting all facets of a standard Shipley Proposal process.* Ability to work with executives and senior leadership.* Develop and maintain positive customer relations.* Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting using modern applications.* Must have a reputation for being able to work collaboratively with high performance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with fluctuating work hours.* Must have a demonstrated track record of designing and executing successful business development and capture strategies and achieving profitable revenue growth in federal government contracting work.* DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility to acquire is required.* Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contributions.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
